Deo Nkwaanga
Deo Nkwaanga is a teacher's at Mweruka Junior School. He teaches grade three and is also hoping to be the school's soccer coach this year.
Deo's commitment to Mweruka is amazing. Three to four times a week, Deo rides his worn out bike to Mweruka Junior and because of the school's isolated location, Deo's trip takes over an hour and a half to complete. Deo could easily find work at another school closer to his home and family, but he believes in Mweruka Junior School. He has spoken with me countless times about the importance in helping small, Lake Victorian villages like Mweruka. He is a close friend to all of us at Unite Our World and quite honestly is one of the most giving people I have ever met.
Deo's bike is very old, and for only $50 we can get Deo a brand new bike. This will enable him to stop buying parts for his old bike and also give his son, George, a place to ride on the back. If you can help with this project please specify your donation to Deo's Bike Fund.
